I service southern Michigan and northern Indiana. I am a CPM (Certified Professional Midwife)practicing the Midwives Model of Care and I am also a nurse. I am certified in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation. I have been involved with birthing women since 1991, first as a labor assistant, then as a nurse in a Hospital, then a Free standing birth center and homebirth practice. I have been a midwife now starting my fourth year. I feel my start in the hospital only deepens my belief in natural birth as the best choice. I am a member of Indiana Midwives Association, Michigan Midwives Association, MANA, & the National Association for CPMs. I provide prenatal care in your home, or you may come to my home based office. I am a christian midwife, my practice is faith based. I believe God designed our bodies very well to give birth. I believe that birth is a normal process, and if left to proceed as He intended, will work fine, but if need to, I am ready to respond and take action to provide a safe birth for you and your baby. I want to get to know my clients, so my prenatal visits are an average of 1 hour in length, once the initial visit is done. I limit my practice to providing service to only a few clients each month. This is so I have enough personal time to spend with each of you. Water birth is an option with my practice. All birthing options are your choice. I have books and videos to lend to my clients.
