Our licensed midwives at Frontier Midwifery strive to empower women and their families to see themselves in a state of wellness during the childbearing years. education on nutrition and the physiology of pregnancy are an important part of our service to you. Friendship and trust are vital qualities we strive to develope prior to your brithing experience. At the request of numerous families that had only the hospital as an option, we began attending homebiths in the Kenai Peninsula area in 1993. As the need grew for families to have more control of their own bith experience, we opened the bith center in Soldotna, and continue serving families who desire homebirths. We attend births from Seward to Homer. Our birth center is located in Soldotna approximately 3 minutes from Centeral Peninsula General Hospital. Our consultations are free and take about an hour. We request you make a list of questions to bring to this visit. No question is to silly or cant be answered. We enjoy spending time with our clients at each prenatal visit. They take about 30-45 minutes each time you come in. Family and friends are welcome to accompany you to your prenatal visits and also at your birth. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for clients.
